Inspirations can come from a variety of sources. Watching others for color combinations, styles that are modest, and deportment. Magazines, catalogs, pattern catalogs, online sites that offer modest clothing are some of the easier to peruse. I received a catalog from
Serengeti which offers some nice modest clothing in a variety of styles. Here's just a few that they offer:

Sadly, Serengeti is too expensive. 'Way 'way too expensive! The dresses are very beautiful, though. Short of sewing, I may just have to get used to the idea of dresses, tops, shoes - everything that I like in that and other catalogs to be those prices.
Sharon--If you try to get classic styles that look great on you, you can update looks mostly by accessories. Quality fabrics, sturdy construction, and basic classic styles will last longer and give you more mileage for your money. I don't believe prices will get better. This is where it is a challenge to become resourceful in our "hunting".
